Welcome to my blog! I’m David Westbrooks. I “temporarily” moved to the beautiful state of North Carolina over 20 years ago with my wife, and we never left. I have loved exploring everything North Carolina has to offer. From the rolling mountains to the picturesque beaches, North Carolina has it all.
My favorite way to experience the outdoors is through hiking, camping, and mountain biking, but I also love to travel around North Carolina, discovering new places and sharing them with others.
Through this blog, I want to share my love of North Carolina’s outdoor adventures with you. I’ll be sharing stories, photos, and tips from my own experiences, as well as recommendations for places to visit and things to do across the state.
I’ll also share recommendations on gear, apparel, and other items that I find interesting. Barefoot shoes have been life changing for me, so you’ll probably see plenty of articles about them.
In addition to my love of the North Carolina, I am also a software engineer. Who knows, maybe you’ll eventually see a section dedicated to technology. We’ll see. Hopefully you can find something you enjoy in my writings.
